The forum hasn't created much interest and the lack of posts doesn't encourage new posts, so I am looking for solutions. The obvious solution would be to consolidate the many forums into one forum. I think my prefered solution would be to just have a blog instead. An early thought was that it is important for people to be able to ask questions about family matters, e.g. : "Does anyone remember my grandmother, who lived at __ Devons Rd from 1932-1964?" Having this option in a forum that very few people ever make use of wouldn't work. So I think a completely separate part of the site can deal with this need with a direct link from the front page.
